FAQ

General Questions

Does Recover handle personal debt collection?

No. Recover is a commercial debt collection agency, which means we only work on business debt, but we do collect against individuals who are personally liable for business debt, such as individuals who signed a confession of judgment or guaranty.

What is a UCC lien?

Simplified, a Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) lien filing, or UCC filing, is a notice lenders file to stake a claim in borrower assets in the event of default. The lender can then collect those assets to cure a debt under certain requirements if needed.

Does Recover have minimum claim requirements?

Yes. We only accept claims that are over $1,000 and originated within the last 3 years.
